Marino Marini was born in 1901 in Pistoia (Toscane, Italy). Very young, he followed studies to the Academy of the fine art of Florence. He was interested in the sculpture of Medardo Rosso. He was 18-year-old when, on the occasion of a stay in Paris, Marino Marini discovered the new tendencies of the modern art, the synthesis of which he tempted with his admirations for the antique statuary . . .
