The German painter Jan Voss is born in Hamburg in 1936. After studying at the School of Fine Arts in Munich, he settles in Paris in 1960 where his first exhibition is held in 1963. The artist joins the Figuration narrative movement, art movement emerged in France in the early 1960s in opposition to abstraction and New Realism, and he exhibits with the group (Monory,
