Biography of Cesi Amoretti
Cesi Amoretti was born in San Remo in 1929, a city where he spent his entire life except for eight years in Milan (1950 to 1958). The work of Cesi Amoretti is part of the neo-figuration oriented towards a geometric decomposition of natural elements, sometimes approaching gestural painting. The artist will find his "way" in a minimalist abstract art, in which his compositions become elementary illustrations, circles and squares barely crossed by essential graphic signs. At the end of the 70's, Cesi Amoretti turns to a work on the faceted weft of orthogonal structures that favor a new evolution in his work; it is in this period that the light assumes an increasing importance in the definition of the forms and his abstraction takes an increasing lyrical inclination. Between the end of the 70's and the beginning of the 80's, he devoted himself to graphic art (engraving) and to the artist's book. From 1977 to 1985, Cesi Amoretti also engaged in the production of some performances. The 80's are those of "intimate perceptions", that is to say Mediterranean; geometry becomes a system of refraction of light, day or night, in which the artist constantly makes allusions to nature. Cesi Amoretti died in San Remo in 1997.

Artists on display
The art and the artists display: proclamations, galleries, museums, personal or collective exhibitions. On walls or in shop windows, wise or rebels, posters warn, argue, show. Some were specially conceived by an artist for such or such event, other, colder, have only the letter.
Some were created in lithographic technic, most are simple offset reproductions. They are many those who like collecting these rectangles of paper, monochrome or in games of colours, in matt paper or brilliant, with many words or almost dumb.
We are happy also to be able to greet, by this pages, mythical galleries as those of Denise René, Louis Carré, Claude Bernard, Berheim Jeune, Maeght, Pierre Loeb and others.
