This second catalogue of novelties for the year 2023, offers 204 works for a total of 82 artists of the 946 artists currently represented on my site. For this update, this list has been enriched by only one new artist: Jean Metzinger.
You can discover mostly prints (etchings, lithographs and screeprints), illustrated books, posters, multiples, but also un large selection of unique pieces (paintings, drawings, gouaches, sculptures, etc...). Don't miss the three oils on canvas by Théodore Appleby, the two acrylics on paper by Pierre Cayol, the acrylic on canvas and collages by James Coignard, the ink drawing by Guillaume Corneille ("Les oiseaux dans l'arbre s'amusent", 1962), the 1961 charcoal and coloured pencil signed by Maurice Estève (object of our “Coup de coeur"), the two watercolours by Pierre Loeb, the oil on panel by Paul Mansouroff, the lovely little watercolour by André Minaux, the oil on canvas by Max Papart (“Sweets", 1976), the 1987 correspondence of Walasse Ting, the splendid drawing by Maria Chiara Toni (“Terre Mère”, 2023), the small drawing with black felt by Roland Topor, and finally, the original ink by Christine Valcke.
In this update, you will note that among the seven new works presented (books, portfolios, catalogues, reviews, etc.), we offer the book "La Parisienne" with 20 lithographs by Jean-Gabriel Domergue (text by Cecil Saint Laurent, Ed. Joseph Forêt, 1956), the much sought after Portfolio-Manifesto "Uriburu Coloration" by Nicolas Uriburu, containing six original screenprints signed by the artist; this work, from 1973, takes on all its resonance today: had the artist not realized it to spread more widely his ideas aimed at drawing attention to the relationship between nature and civilization, and to promote ecological awareness as an essential element of culture?
To discover also: the eight prints by Pierre Alechinsky (woodcut, etching and lithograph), the three screenprints and the lithograph by Karel Appel, the two old linocuts (1989) by Eduardo Arroyo, the original lithograph in five colours by Jean-Michel Atlan ("Orient", 1957), the eight lithographs signed in pencil by Bernard Buffet, the two prints by Carlos Cruz-Diez (screenprint and etching-aquatint), the six prints signed by Dali, the lithograph "L 1973-22" by Hans Hartung, the 1947 lithograph poster "Nice, Travail, Joie" signed in black ink by Henri Matisse, the original etching signed by Joan Miro ("Rupestres XI", 1979), the set of 15 Picasso posters - including the rare poster "Chevaux de Minuit" of 1956 -, the original lithograph "I love you" by Niki de Saint Phalle (n°6 of the artist’s catalogue raisonné, 1971), the original lithograph signed by Antoni Tàpies ("Olympic Centennial", 1992), the ten original lithographs signed by Francisco Toledo, the lithograph "Homage to Marie-Claire" signed by Kees Van Dongen, the two prints ("Arrachages" III and IV, 1991) by Jacques Villeglé, and finally, the print signed "Without title 263", etching and aquatint in seven colors, by Zao Wou Ki.
Before offering you a new update, last week of April 2023, my team and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a pleasant visit to our site.
All the very best. Michelle Champetier
