A tribute to TA Steinlen

Le peintre, pastelliste, dessinateur et lithographe suisse Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen, naturalisé français en 1901, est mort à Paris le 14 décembre 1923 ; il est inhumé au cimetière Saint Vincent de Montmartre (14e division). Douze ans plus tard, un monument lui sera dédié à Paris (Square Joël Le Tac, 18ème). En son hommage, cette rose rouge.

Artists on display

The art and the artists display: proclamations, galleries, museums, personal or collective exhibitions. On walls or in shop windows, wise or rebels, posters warn, argue, show. Some were specially conceived by an artist for such or such event, other, colder, have only the letter.
