Sur les hauteurs de la ville, le cimetière Sainte-Catherine est le vieux cimetière de Honfleur. Honfleur fut une destination privilégiée des peintres dès le XIXe siècle, et les lumières de ce coin de Normandie furent fondamentales dans l’expérimentation de ce qui allait devenir l’impressionnisme. Assez naturellement, beaucoup de peintres peuplent le cimetière. André Hambourg, décédé le 4 décembre 1999, est inhumé ici. En son hommage, ces quelques fleurs de lantana.
