Small 4to, (25,5 x 19,5 cm), bound, 184 pages, wrappers printed in green and black on the front and the spine.
First edition. Texts by Jean Giraudoux (Pride), Paul Morand (Avarice), Pierre Mac Orlan (Lust), André Salmon (Envy), Max Jacob (Gluttony), J. de Lacretelle (Anger) et Joseph Kessel (Laziness), illustrated with fifteen original etchings in black by Marc Chagall, hors-texte, unsigned. Here a copy with an additional suite of the 15 etchings printed on Chine paper pulled in sanguine (lacks the sixteen etching « La Luxure III » only printed for the suites), loose as issued. Justification page numbered, dedicated and signed in ink by the publisher. Text printed by Coulouma in Argenteuil and etchings printed by Louis Fort in Paris. Edition : 300 copies as follows : 1 on Japanese paper with 3 additional suites + 15 copies on Japanese paper with two additional suites, numbered from 2 to 16 + 44 on Hollande paper with a suite, numbered from 17 to 60 + 240 copies on wove paper, numbered from 61 to 300 ; here a copy HC on wove paper, aside the numbered edition, with an additional suite of the 15 etchings of the bounded volume. Prices shall be modified without prior notice. Prices are net (VAT included), plus shipping costs. Payment: Payment is to be made in euros, within a period of eight (8) days of receipt of the estimate conveyed by email or by fax. The buyer is responsible for payment of the return fees and the item shall be re-dispatched in the original packaging. In case of dispute, the courts of the seller’s jurisdiction only are competent.
