    Etabli par Katelin de Walterskirchen (conservateur au Cabinet des Estampes du Kunstmuseum de Berne) et publié en 1974 – pour la langue française – par les Editions Flammarion, le catalogue raisonné de l’œuvre gravé de Maurice Vlaminck répertorie l’ensemble des œuvres de l’artiste imprimées sur papier connues à cette date. On y découvrira un total de 326 estampes originales de l’artiste, soit 105 gravures sur bois, 46 gravures sur cuivre, 175 lithographies, ainsi que 45 estampes d’interprétation réalisées d’après Maurice Vlaminck. Le très grand nombre d’œuvres exécutées par l’artiste dans le cadre du livre illustré, de l’album ou du périodique sont également présentées. Le présent catalogue raisonné couvre l’art graphique de l’artiste sur une période de création de plus de 50 ans (1910 à 1964). C’est après quatorze années de gravure sur bois que Vlaminck se tournera vers l’eau-forte, dans les années 20 ; il s’agira de paysages très expressifs et l’artiste réalisera la majeure partie de son œuvre gravé sur cuivre dans les années 1926-1928. C’est en 1921, que l’artiste s’essaie pour la première fois à la lithographie. La conception de la composition de Maurice Vlaminck est toujours très personnelle : choix du paysage, arrangement des motifs, impression d’ensemble, est toujours liée à la recherche d’un certain effet plastique.
