Biography of Libero Badii
The Italian philosopher and multi-faceted artist (sculptor, draftsman, engraver, painter) Líbero Badíi was born in 1916 in Arezzo (Italy). His family emigrated to Argentina in 1927, where he lived until 1947, when he became a naturalized Argentinean. He studied at the School of Fine Arts-Carcova Nation Ernesto, where he later became professor of the chair of drawing and sculpture. In 1979 he abandons sculpture to devote himself to painting. He will make more than thirty individual exhibitions in Argentina and abroad between 1950 and 1985. The expressive richness is the common characteristic throughout his career, dominated by the experimentation of various materials such as stone, plaster, wood and bronze, combined in every conceivable way at each stage of his work. His work, in the course of his exhibitions, has won numerous awards. In 1971, he was made a Knight of the French Order of Arts and Letters, and that same year he received the International Prize of the Sao Paulo Biennial. His work is part of numerous collections of leading institutions (Moma, City of Paris, etc.). In 1999, Libero Badii exhibited at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and the Borges Cultural Center in Buenos Aires. Libero Badii died in Buenos Aires in 2011.

Artists on display
The art and the artists display: proclamations, galleries, museums, personal or collective exhibitions. On walls or in shop windows, wise or rebels, posters warn, argue, show. Some were specially conceived by an artist for such or such event, other, colder, have only the letter.
Some were created in lithographic technic, most are simple offset reproductions. They are many those who like collecting these rectangles of paper, monochrome or in games of colours, in matt paper or brilliant, with many words or almost dumb.
We are happy also to be able to greet, by this pages, mythical galleries as those of Denise René, Louis Carré, Claude Bernard, Berheim Jeune, Maeght, Pierre Loeb and others.
