Biography : Tereza (Terry) Haass is born in Cesky Tesin (Czechoslovakia) in 1923. She flees her country and Nazism in the late 30s. She studies art and art history in Paris until her departure for New York in 1941; the young woman receives a scholarship from the Art Students League. She lives in New York until 1951, incorporating (from 1946) the Atelier 17 of . . . . (see notes of biography)
