He settled down in Paris for more than ten years. He associated with artists such as Karel Appel, Asger Jorn and Pierre Alechinsky, members of the group Cobra. He had his first encounter with western art (expressionism, Matisse, his favorite, and Picasso) and immediately began to use oil painting, although he remained attached to his ink. Then he moved to New-York and his art was influenced by Pop Art and abstract expressionism. He made trips to Europe (from Amsterdam, his base), South America and Far East. In 1963, he met Sam Francis with whom he became friends. In the 1970s, his work has been described as popular figuratism. His paintings are colorful, particularly with strong red nuances. His common subjects are women, flowers and animals. In 1974, he became an American citizen. In 2002, he suffered a brain hemorrhage, which left him unable to continue his artistic career. Walasse Ting died in New-York in 2010.

Artists on display
The art and the artists display: proclamations, galleries, museums, personal or collective exhibitions. On walls or in shop windows, wise or rebels, posters warn, argue, show. Some were specially conceived by an artist for such or such event, other, colder, have only the letter.
Some were created in lithographic technic, most are simple offset reproductions. They are many those who like collecting these rectangles of paper, monochrome or in games of colours, in matt paper or brilliant, with many words or almost dumb.
We are happy also to be able to greet, by this pages, mythical galleries as those of Denise René, Louis Carré, Claude Bernard, Berheim Jeune, Maeght, Pierre Loeb and others.
