Biography of Getulio Alviani
Getulio Alviani is born in Udine in 1937. He is considered one of the main representatives of the abstract and kinetic art in Italy. From childhood, he manifests his interest in graphic design and geometry. Despite his entry to the College of Art in Venice, the young man prefers to spend the afternoon in the museums of the city, admiring the masterpieces. He regularly attends workshops for artists, architects and sculptors, with whom he collaborates. Through his work, he "meets" by accident the anodized aluminum sheet; after having made hiim suffer a thousand experiments, Alviani gives birth to a "vibrating surface texture"; this new medium is able to show modifications depending on the angle view of the spectator. This line of research for a dynamic art allows him to meet other artists (Gerhard. Richter, A. Biasi, Le Parc, F. Morellet, etc.); with them, he participates actively in the work of the Research Group of Visual Art in Paris. The artist becomes friends with Piero Manzoni and Lucio Fontana, collaborating with Josef Albers and Max Bill. In 1964, he participates in the Venice Biennial, sharing a room with Enrico Castellani. The following year, he participates in the exhibition devoted to the optical and kinetic art, "The Responsive Eye," organized by the Moma in New York. Among other events, Alviani participates in Venice Biennial in 1983, 1986 and 1993. A complete retrospective of his work is presented at the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bergamo in 2005.

Artists on display
The art and the artists display: proclamations, galleries, museums, personal or collective exhibitions. On walls or in shop windows, wise or rebels, posters warn, argue, show. Some were specially conceived by an artist for such or such event, other, colder, have only the letter.
Some were created in lithographic technic, most are simple offset reproductions. They are many those who like collecting these rectangles of paper, monochrome or in games of colours, in matt paper or brilliant, with many words or almost dumb.
We are happy also to be able to greet, by this pages, mythical galleries as those of Denise René, Louis Carré, Claude Bernard, Berheim Jeune, Maeght, Pierre Loeb and others.
