Biography :Robert Motherwell was born in 1915 in Aberdeen, in the State of Washington (U.S.A). He studied Philosophy and Art in California (Los Angeles and San Francisco). In 1938, he left for Paris to perfect his painting and his first personal exhibition was organized in the Gallery Raymond Dune (1939).
