Biography : Rene Char was born in 1907 in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (Vaucluse). He passes his childhood to the “Névons”, the vast family home whose construction had just been realized when René Char was born. His father, mayor of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue since 1905, disappears in 1918. He will be pupil in the college of Avignon, then in 1925, student in….. . . .
