Biography : Pierre Soulages is born in Rodez (Aveyron) in 1919. His childhood is marked by the harshness of the landscapes and the souls which surrounded him. As he was 18 years old, during a short stay in Paris, Soulages visited two exhibitions (Cézanne, Picasso) which were so many revelations. He studied at the . . . . (see notes of biography)
