In 1989, Andelu take for artist name the name of the village, close to Versailles, where she was born. Self-taught artist, she learns art progressively from the artists she associates with. Thus, after debuting in ceramics, Henri Goetz initiates her to copper-plate engraving and carborundum printmaking which he invented.
