    Le catalogue raisonné de l’œuvre gravé de Max Papart concerne la période 1968-1979. Il a été établi par Michel Bohbot et publié par les Editons Galerie International à Stockholm (Suède). L’auteur y répertorie 236 oeuvres originales de l’artiste (estampes et sculptures) : lithographies et gravures pour l’essentiel - aquatintes, eaux-fortes, tailles douces, burins, gravures au carborundum -, éditées en planches isolées ou dans le cadre du livre illustré ou du portefeuille. Pour Max Papart, l’essentiel est de « dégager la conception structurale de l’œuvre », tout en limitant au maximum les moyens employés selon le vœu de Georges Braque. Après un premier ouvrage (« Max Papart Graveur ») publié par le même éditeur, le présent catalogue raisonné est, à ce jour, l’ouvrage de référence dans le domaine de l’art graphique de l’artiste. On y découvre l’évolution de l’artiste en ce domaine ; les recherches graphiques préalables vont se simplifier, les formes gagneront en puissance et monumentalité au fil du travail accompli, l’influence d’Alberto Magnelli aura son importance avec l’élimination progressive des détails, l’expérience américaine vivifiera les couleurs et fera jouer l’artiste sur des dimensions différentes.
