However she is born in Stockholm in 1909, Anna Eva Bergman is Norwegian. She studied in Oslo (1926-1928), initially to the Academy of the applied arts, then to the Beaux-Arts. She studied then in Vienna and in Paris (1929) in Andre Lhotes atelier. This same year, she married Hans Hartung, in Dresden. She lived in various countries (Italy, Spain, France).
